Arkeoloji Bölümü Program Öğretim Amaçları

ÖA1.

Prehistorya, Protohistorya/Önasya ve Klasik Arkeoloji alanlarına dair temel kavramları öğrenerek bu alanlardaki kuramsal ve uygulamalı bilgileri eleştirel biçimde değerlendirmeleri amaçlanır.

ÖA 2.

Öğrencilerin tarihsel süreçteki arkeolojik ve çevresel değişimleri yorumlayarak insan kültürleriyle olan karşılıklı etkileşimini bilimsel verilerle değerlendirebilmeleri hedeflenir.

ÖA 3.

Arkeolojik dönemlerde ortaya çıkan inanç sistemlerinin ikonografik, mimari ve maddi kültür üzerindeki etkilerini tanımlayarak tarihsel çözümleme yapmaları amaçlanır.

ÖA 4.

Öğrencilerin çanak çömlek, heykel, mozaik, sikke, mimari gibi arkeolojik buluntuları tanıma, sınıflandırma ve değerlendirme becerisi kazanmaları amaçlanır.

ÖA 5.

Kazı, yüzey araştırması, çizim, fotoğraf ve dijital belgeleme gibi temel arkeolojik teknikleri uygulamalı olarak öğrenmeleri hedeflenir.

ÖA 6.

Arkeometri, dijital analiz, yapay zeka gibi çağdaş yöntemlerle arkeolojik verileri analiz etme yetisi kazandırılarak teknolojik gelişmeleri izleyebilen arkeologlar yetiştirilmesi amaçlanır.

ÖA 7.

Arkeoloji alanında proje geliştirme ve girişimcilik potansiyeline sahip olmaları hedeflenir.

ÖA 8.

Tarihi, kültürel ve milli değerlere sahip çıkan, toplumsal fayda üreten, etik ve adil bireyler olarak yetişmeleri amaçlanır.

ÖA 9.

Arkeolojiye ilişkin temel sorunları tanımlayıp bunlara çözüm önerileri getirebilecek şekilde bilimsel, eleştirel ve yaratıcı düşünme becerilerini geliştirmeleri hedeflenir.

ÖA10.

Yaşam boyu öğrenmenin gerekliliği bilincini ve bunu gerçekleştirmeye dönük becerileri edinir.

Program Educational Objectives of the Department of Archaeology

PEO 1.

It is aimed that students acquire fundamental concepts related to Prehistory, Protohistory/Near Eastern Archaeology, and Classical Archaeology, and critically evaluate both theoretical and practical knowledge in these fields.

PEO 2.

It is intended that students interpret archaeological and environmental changes throughout historical processes and evaluate their interactions with human cultures based on scientific data.

PEO 3.

It is aimed that students analyze historical developments by identifying the effects of belief systems that emerged in archaeological periods on iconography, architecture, and material culture.

PEO 4.

It is intended that students gain the ability to recognize, classify, and evaluate archaeological finds such as pottery, sculpture, mosaics, coins, and architectural remains.

PEO 5.

It is aimed that students learn fundamental archaeological techniques—such as excavation, survey, drawing, photography, and digital documentation—through practical application.

PEO 6.

It is intended to train archaeologists who can follow technological advancements by equipping students with the ability to analyze archaeological data using contemporary methods such as archaeometry, digital analysis, and artificial intelligence.

PEO 7.

It is aimed that students develop the capacity to design projects and demonstrate entrepreneurial potential in the field of archaeology.

PEO 8.

It is intended that students are educated as ethical and fair individuals who uphold historical, cultural, and national values and contribute to society.

PEO 9.

It is aimed that students develop scientific, critical, and creative thinking skills that enable them to identify fundamental problems in archaeology and propose solutions.

PEO 10.

It is intended that students acquire an awareness of the necessity of lifelong learning and the skills required to achieve it.
