MİSYON

Kırşehir Ahi Evran Üniversitesi Arkeoloji Bölümü, Anadolu'nun zengin kültürel mirasını bilimsel yöntemlerle araştırmak, belgelemek ve yorumlamak; elde edilen bilgileri evrensel bilim dünyasıyla paylaşmak ve toplumun kültürel değerlerini tanımasına katkı sağlamak amacıyla faaliyet göstermektedir. Bölümümüz, geçmişin izlerini günümüze taşıyarak tarih bilincini geliştirmeyi, bilimsel üretkenlik ve etik değerlere bağlı bir eğitim anlayışıyla donanımlı arkeologlar yetiştirmeyi hedeflemektedir. Bu bağlamda, üniversitemizin "bölgesel kalkınma ve toplumsal fayda" odaklı misyonuyla uyumlu biçimde, özellikle İç Anadolu Bölgesi’nin arkeolojik potansiyelini ortaya çıkarmaya yönelik çalışmalara öncelik vermektedir.

VİZYON

Kırşehir Ahi Evran Üniversitesi Arkeoloji Bölümü, bilimsel araştırma ve eğitimde mükemmeliyet ilkesini benimseyerek; ulusal ve uluslararası düzeyde tanınan, disiplinlerarası iş birliklerini güçlendiren, yenilikçi ve sürdürülebilir arkeolojik çalışmalarla öne çıkan bir akademik merkez olmayı hedeflemektedir. Bölümümüz, Anadolu'nun arkeolojik zenginliğini evrensel bilimsel yaklaşımlarla inceleyip gelecek nesillere aktarırken, aynı zamanda bölgenin kültürel mirasını koruma ve tanıtma konusunda öncü rol üstlenmeyi vizyon edinmiştir. Bu doğrultuda, üniversitemizin vizyonuyla paralel biçimde, bilgi üreten, katma değer sağlayan ve toplumsal gelişime katkı sunan bir bilim merkezi olmayı hedeflemektedir.

AMAÇ

Kırşehir Ahi Evran Üniversitesi Arkeoloji Bölümü’nün temel amacı, geçmiş uygarlıkların kültürel, sosyal ve ekonomik yapılarını arkeolojik veriler ışığında bilimsel yöntemlerle araştırmak; elde edilen bulguları disiplinlerarası yaklaşımlarla değerlendirerek evrensel bilgi birikimine katkı sunmaktır. Bu doğrultuda bölüm, lisans düzeyinde çağdaş arkeoloji kuramlarıyla donatılmış, uygulamalı eğitimlerle desteklenen, etik ilkelere bağlı ve mesleki yeterliliğe sahip arkeologlar yetiştirmeyi hedefler. Öğrencilere kazı, belgeleme, koruma ve analiz teknikleri gibi alanlarda uygulama fırsatları sunularak mesleki deneyim kazanmaları teşvik edilir. Ayrıca, Kırşehir ve çevresindeki arkeolojik mirasın ortaya çıkarılması, korunması ve toplumsal farkındalıkla gelecek kuşaklara aktarılması bölümün öncelikli amaçları arasında yer almaktadır.

ÖZGÖREV

Kırşehir Ahi Evran Üniversitesi Arkeoloji Bölümü’nün özgörevi, Anadolu ve çevresindeki kültürel mirasın tarihsel gelişimini bilimsel temelde araştırmak, belgelemek ve yorumlamaktır. Bölüm, kazı, yüzey araştırması, laboratuvar ve dijital analiz gibi çağdaş yöntemlerle disiplinlerarası çalışmaları teşvik ederken, elde edilen bilgilerin hem akademik dünyaya hem de topluma kazandırılmasını amaçlar. Eğitim-öğretim sürecinde, eleştirel düşünen, etik ilkelere bağlı, kuramsal ve uygulamalı bilgiyle donanmış, kültürel mirasın korunması konusunda bilinçli arkeologlar yetiştirmek temel hedeflerdendir. Ayrıca, bölgesel arkeolojik değerlerin ortaya çıkarılması ve Kırşehir’in tarihsel kimliğinin güçlendirilmesi yoluyla toplumsal farkındalık oluşturmak da bölümün sorumluluk alanına girer.

MISSION

The Department of Archaeology at Kırşehir Ahi Evran University operates with the aim of investigating, documenting, and interpreting the rich cultural heritage of Anatolia through scientific methods; disseminating the knowledge obtained to the global academic community; and contributing to society’s awareness and appreciation of cultural values. Our department seeks to enhance historical consciousness by bringing the traces of the past into the present and to educate well-equipped archaeologists through an educational approach grounded in scientific productivity and ethical principles. In this context, in alignment with our university’s mission focused on “regional development and social benefit,” priority is given to studies that reveal the archaeological potential of the Central Anatolia Region.

VISION

The Department of Archaeology at Kırşehir Ahi Evran University aims to become an academic center recognized at national and international levels by embracing excellence in scientific research and education; strengthening interdisciplinary collaborations; and standing out through innovative and sustainable archaeological studies. While examining the archaeological richness of Anatolia through universal scientific approaches and transferring it to future generations, our department also adopts a leading role in the protection and promotion of the region’s cultural heritage as its vision. In this direction, in parallel with the university’s vision, it aspires to be a scientific center that produces knowledge, creates added value, and contributes to social development.

OBJECTIVE

The primary objective of the Department of Archaeology at Kırşehir Ahi Evran University is to investigate the cultural, social, and economic structures of past civilizations through scientific methods based on archaeological data, and to contribute to universal knowledge by evaluating the findings through interdisciplinary approaches. Accordingly, the department aims to educate archaeologists at the undergraduate level who are equipped with contemporary archaeological theories, supported by practical training, committed to ethical principles, and possess professional competence. Students are encouraged to gain professional experience through opportunities in areas such as excavation, documentation, conservation, and analytical techniques. Additionally, uncovering, preserving, and transmitting the archaeological heritage of Kırşehir and its surroundings to future generations through increased public awareness are among the department’s primary objectives.

CORE MISSION

The core mission of the Department of Archaeology at Kırşehir Ahi Evran University is to scientifically investigate, document, and interpret the historical development of cultural heritage in Anatolia and its surrounding regions. The department promotes interdisciplinary studies through contemporary methods such as excavation, survey, laboratory work, and digital analysis, while aiming to disseminate the knowledge produced to both the academic world and society. Within the educational process, one of the fundamental goals is to train archaeologists who think critically, adhere to ethical principles, are equipped with both theoretical and practical knowledge, and are conscious of the protection of cultural heritage. Furthermore, fostering social awareness by revealing regional archaeological values and strengthening the historical identity of Kırşehir also falls within the department’s scope of responsibility.
